- The rebels do know how the chips work, which is part of why they're able to remove them. Because it's advanced technology the likes of which doesn't exist yet in real life, I couldn't explain exactly how.
- It's made out of pretty standard chip materials, though it may contain some elements that don't really exist outside of this planet.
- Its properties are all documented, and it is not able to mind control or reprogram characters.
- They are capable of sending false signals - Once characters are brought to the Witches Camp, they enter the range of a magic spell that disrupts the chip and feeds back false information about the character's whereabouts. - but that couldn't currently be replicated to allow them to seem to have a chip when they don't. It only works one way.
If Tech would like to work on research regarding faking chip signals, that would be totally fine.
