Applications

Applications: OPEN

⇝ Player Cap: 17/60
⇝ Appable Characters: Annexed is currently accepting canon characters and original characters. This includes characters created as a native to the setting, providing the player has been in game three months.
⇝ Non-Appable Characters: Annexed is not accepting AU characters, CRAU characters or fandom OCs. We are also not accepting doubles of any kind, even if the characters are from different versions of the same franchise.
⇝ Once applications open, they will remain open until player cap is reached. If the game cap is reached, applications will remain open but all applications will be placed in a queue to be processed as characters drop or idle out of the game.
⇝ No application challenges. If two applications for the same character are received, the reserved one will be considered first. If neither is reserved, they will be processed on a first-come first-processed basis.

Application Guidelines


Please see below for an example of the application and some mod guidelines on how to fill the sections out.
PLAYER


Name: What you would like to be known by in game.
Over 18? Simple yes or no.
Contact: Whatever the best way to contact you is.
Current Character: Any other character you have in the game. Just write "N/A" if you don't currently have a character in game.

CHARACTER DETAILS


Name: The character's real name in Western order; include any major aliases.
Canon: The canon the character is from, or "original."
Canon Point: The point in canon the character comes from.
Age: Actual age and apparent age, if the two are different.

Heba or Tian? Which planet will your character be aligned with and a short blurb about why.
Acquired Ability: This is where you should outline your character's acquired ability if they are aligned with Heba. A link to a wiki is fine! If your character is aligned with Tian, simply write "Magic."

Personality Traits: Please summarize your character's personality by giving a list of six traits, three positive and three negative.
History: Please link to a wiki or other source of background if possible. If there is no appropriate source, keep this short and sweet, bullet points are encouraged.
Canon Abilities/Skills: Please link to a wiki or other source if possible. If there is no appropriate source, keep this short and sweet, bullet points are encouraged.
Suitability: Please give a quick rundown of what drew you to the game, which plot elements you're interested in interacting with while playing this character, and how the character would fit in the game. This can be anywhere from a few sentences to a couple paragraphs if you have a lot of ideas!

Inventory: Please list what your character has on them at the time they are taken. This can include clothing, bags with items in them, and small pets that would not be appable on their own. These items will not be on the characters when they arrive in game but will still exist in the world and can be regained later through missions.
CHARACTER QUESTIONNAIRE


What are your character's feelings on freedom? How would they define freedom? How important is it to them? Would they fight for it, or have they fought for it in the past? If they have, how did they go about it?
Just write a little bit about your character's perspective on freedom and any examples of their past freedom fighting.

Describe a formative moment in your character's life, something that changed them and defined who they are as a person.
This can be as major or minor a moment as you wish, so long as it defines who they are as a person, has changed them in a fundamental way, or otherwise gives a good insight into who they are.

Does your character have a favorite person? If so, how would they describe that person? What do they like about that person? What do they dislike? If they don't have a favorite person, what would they look for in a favorite person? What traits would draw them to another person? What traits could they tolerate that others might not be able to?
If the character is their own favorite person, that's totally fine! If they don't have a favorite person, just describe what their favorite person would be like if they had one.

What has your character's arc been like so far? How have they developed from their first appearance to their canon point?
This is not meant to be a second history section, but to cover what kind of emotional, mental, and character development has happened to your character over their appearance in canon.

How would you like to continue your character's arc in the game? How would you like them to develop? What would you like to have them accomplish?
Pretty straightforward! Just explain what you'd like to do with your character in the game, how you'd like to develop them and what kind of CR you're hoping for.

SAMPLES


Please provide two samples of you writing the character you're applying for. They could be threads that you've written with the character in a meme, a previous game, a musebox, or elsewhere. The threads should not be friends-locked and should not be "crack" or AU threads. Please ensure that the samples match what you would be writing in game. Threads should be no more than one year old.
